Adventures Across 2 Boroughs...

There goes another week! This week was busy full of school and work for me and Matt! It was only my second week of summer school and I already had a quiz and a practical! 2 more quizzes coming up this week! Hopefully this week goes as well as last week did! =)

EWW! Look at this nasty snail (we named him Stanley) I found out on our deck... We don't think Stanley survived the rest of the day, but I swear it wasn't my fault!

Even though our day-lives were busy with the daily grind of work and school, we managed to save a little time for fun in the evenings! On Wednesday night, we had a little reunion with a bunch of our friends in Queens. We went to Panera, which is SOOOO yummy!!!! There aren't many around NYC, so it was quite a treat. We just hung out and shared stories, had a lot of fun and laughs! Friday night, we again, went up to Queens, to go mini golfing. The course was fun but hilarious at times because they advertised like "Free parking" (which was 10 minutes away and impossible to find), and "lighted course for night play" (which had some shadows at times). But it was great for a fun night. And, I got a hole in 1 and beat Matt by 2 strokes! =) Yay! haha. After that, we all went back to our friend Sarah's place (who we know from Toledo) and had ice cream, popcorn, and played Scattegories! =)

The rest of our weekend has been pretty laid back. The weather has been gorgeous! We walked to and took Rocket to Fort Greene park (which is by school) yesterday and we were all exhausted from the fun day! Then Matt and I went to The Smoke Joint, a BBQ place in Fort Greene. It was a cool trendy place...and the portions were HUGE. They also had delicious BBQ Fries and mac n' cheese for sides. Then we came home and had a movie night. It was a nice night after kinda a crummy day for Matt since our car got hit-and-runned in the garage downstairs =( (although most of the damage was from a tire and mostly came off, including the clear coat of paint), and then Matt got a jury duty summons in the mail for midway through June...Gross.

Today was just a nice lazy Sunday afternoon studying and getting stuff done around the apartment...here's Rocket helping me do laundry!

Well, hope this wasn't too boring. I hope this finds you well! Comments please!

I wish I had taken a picture of the rat at the mini golf to add to the snail! Although no one saw it but me!

I also want to record 1) I got a hole in one also! and 2) I beat everyone by 2 strokes!

Lastly, I love that I am a label! How fancy!

PS...Part of your Sunday should have included calming Sarah down and helping her through!

I'm jealous of your awesome adventures. I was craving Chipotle this morning, but now I'm not so sure. I love Scatagories! Did you do any victory dances after mini golf?

I can say this with full masculinity: YOUR DOG IS ADORABLE.

Good one with naming the snail Stanley! I named my car Stanley the Manley. :)

Matt, sorry about your car getting hit and run/ran(?)! Thats no fun! Last August my car was hit and totaled (it was literally smashed into half its size). I hope it doesnt cost alot to get fixed. :(

Sarah, I'm sorry I described the mini golf outing wrong by missing your amazing skills. I thought that was implied. =) Also, yes you're fancy fancy with you're own label. I knew you'd enjoy that!

Ben, we can't wait to have awesome adventures with you!!! A MONTH! YAY!!! I love Chipotle and Scategories as well! There were many times during mini-golf where there was sarcastic heckling. You would have liked it. Also, I'm sure if Rocket could talk he'd say he loves you too and can't wait to meet you! We miss you lots!

Wendy, Stanley is a fantastic name. Too bad Stanley the snail's shell is still sitting out there where I left him.... haha! and actually, the car was mostly rubber damage from the SUV that hit it we think. Matt got most of it off with a sponge but it also took off the clear coat of paint. Oh well. It could have been much worse! Thanks though!

Hey guys! Love the blog and sounds like you're keeping plenty busy out there! We found a slug in our old apartment last year. It left a trail of slime on the carpet in the bathroom. We have no idea how it got there, but Ryan claimed there was a baby one too (I looked quick at the big, nasty one and didn't look back until they were gone).

Love the pics of Rocket and we miss you!!!!
