It's made of Owl...hooo hooo!

Well, I've done it again. This time a lot less complicated and thankfully NO SURGERY! Phew. Just a splint for 3 more weeks, then we'll see from there. Life is interesting without an opposable thumb...

Candace came this past weekend for a little less than 2 days. For such a short visit, we sure got a lot in!

We spent Friday night in Times Square, ate some delicious pizza from a place that Sarah suggested. It was great! We looked around, went to Bryant Park and got some delicious cupcakes! We even thought we had a celebrity sighting - a girl from SNL. We tried to follow her but realized we followed the wrong girl. Whoops. hahaha!

Saturday we showed Candace around Brooklyn. We walked half of the Brooklyn Bridge, went to Brooklyn heights to see the promenade, and eat. We also bought Broadway tickets at the tkts booth for 50% off! We ended up getting 1st row mezzanine seats to "Promises, Promises" with Kristin Chenoweth (original Wicked cast, and is in Glee) and Sean Hayes (probably know him as Jack from Will and Grace)!!!! It was an AWESOME show. Not only amazing singing and dancing, but the show was hilarious. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. There were times I was near tears laughing so hard! Before the show, we walked around Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue, and Central park.

Overall, we had a super fun weekend! Can you tell? Here is some candy we spotted at Toys 'R Us' "Candy Land." We totally couldn't pass up these "Grillz!"

I also did awesome on my finals this week! I'm officially done with classes until fall! Now to enjoy my 10 days off with family and friends...and come back to 9 weeks of clinic!

Happy Memorial Day! =)

Happy Memorial Day everyone! I hope you had a great weekend and spent some time reflecting on why we celebrate the day. =)

We had a fun weekend. It was also relaxing! On Friday, Matt got out of work early and I met him for lunch before my big surprise date. I took him to a LOST exhibit on the Upper East Side. It was really cool and fun! We saw a lot of original props, got a free souvenir book, and there was a book that was there and explained everything. It was also FREE! It was great! We also had Jamba Juice! Mmm...

Also this weekend we went to the Brooklyn Promenade and scoped out the new park they are building. They are building 5 different sections, and the first park is done. It's called Pier 1! And no, the store is not there! haha. It has a lot of green grass, and has a gorgeous view! Not to mention it's by the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory - which is SOOO good. =)

We also got together with 2 sets of our neighbor friends, Mandi and Sameer, and Katina and Joe to have a rooftop BBQ! It was a HUGE success! And I was the grillmaster! It was a blast. We were up there from 4 o'clock until about midnight. It ended with us all eating pickles pretty much. Long story. haha! The whole party was fun, and there was a lot of delicious food to be had! The day was PERFECT weather wise, and the view from the roof was great! We could even see the Empire State building!
Here are the rooftop views...

The rest of our weekend was pretty low key, and we're already missing the Harts. =)

Back to the swing of things! Hope all is well with you all out there!
